It has been a strange month to say the least. The arrival of Covid-19 has caused havoc around the world and caused many projects to be put on hold or cancelled. Our thoughts are with everyone battling the virus and the health services who are doing their best to keep people alive. It has been a scary and anxious time for everyone.

In the downtime, we’ve taken the opportunity to try and communicate more with our followers via platforms such as LinkedIn, The Dots and Facebook. It has been very fulfilling having the time to stop and finally watch other people’s projects, read their thoughts and learn new skills. Nobody wants to be in this position but by staying positive we can get through this together.

It has been amazing to see all the musicians adapting to their new surroundings and connecting with their fans via live steaming sites, social media etc. The James Blake home concert was truly heartbreaking and showed the true power of music bringing people together in times of adversity.

Yesterday I watched an inspiring documentary about a young guy running from John O’Groats to Lands End and the determination and resilience that it took to complete the gruelling 874 miles (!). A powerful 30 min watch which showed the courage of the human spirit and the power of the mind to overcome both fear and pain. You can check it out below -

Depsite the lockdown, we were lucky to be involved with a great project which showed the true power of nostalgia in advertising. Everyone who was lived through that time remembers when Evisu ruled the roost and combining the brand with the 90s drum and bass rave culture, Palace and director Rollo Jackson came up with a real promo winner. The whole 60” film is so well done and thought out and will have resonated with ravers up and down the country. It is a shame the film wasn’t longer actually as Rollo had so many amazing track suggestions.

It reminded me of the recent exhibition, Sweet Harmony | Rave Today at The Saatchi Gallery which was similarly brilliantly put together. Simpler times when nobody had any cares! The collection drops on the Evisu website here on Friday 3rd April and no we sadly don’t have any hook ups :(

Hopefully we’ll have more to report next month in happier times!
